Canadian Express Entry is a program by IRCC to manage applications for permanent residency under various immigration programs. It’s designed to streamline the process and select SKILLED workers who can contribute to the Canadian economy.

Here’s a basic rundown of how it works:

1. **Eligibility**: To enter the Express Entry pool, you need to be eligible for one of the following immigration programs:

- **Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)**: For skilled workers with experience in a specific occupation.

- **Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)**: For skilled tradespeople with work experience in a trade.

- **Canadian Experience Class (CEC)**: For those with Canadian work experience.

- **Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)**: Some provinces also use Express Entry to select candidates.

2. **Create a Profile**: You’ll need to create an online profile and provide details about your work experience, education, language skills, and other factors. This profile will be assessed, and you’ll receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on these factors.

3. **CRS Score**: The CRS score determines your rank in the pool. It takes into account factors like age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and other elements that could affect your ability to integrate into Canadian society and contribute to the economy. Wrongly filling this information could have a grave negative impact on your invitation.

4. **Draws**: Periodically, the Canadian government conducts draws from the Express Entry pool. Candidates with the highest CRS scores are invited to apply for permanent residency.

5. **Application**: If you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), you’ll need to submit a complete application for permanent residency within a specified time frame.

6. **Processing Time**: Once your application is submitted, it’s processed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The processing time can vary but is typically around six months for most applications.

7. **Permanent Residency**: If your application is approved, you’ll receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) and can then complete the process of becoming a permanent resident.

The system is designed to be efficient and to select candidates who have the skills and experience that are in demand in Canada. Call us today!
